What About Henry (Autumn 2023)

What About Henry (Autumn 2023)

A unique, innovative day's worth  of training - spread over six easily accessible online sessions - that will help you to put children first when advising parents.

About the Course

Working with parents squabbling over child arrangements can be stressful and, if not carefully handled, be an enormous drain on both you and your practice. Even more importantly, a bitter dispute between parents can damage any children involved for years to come. So, as a professional family law advisor, it is your duty to make sure that you have the knowledge, tools and confidence to understand the impact that separation has on children so you can better help your clients stop warring and come up with a resolution that shields the children from the worst of the damage. In doing so you will also help to protect your own wellbeing and the reputation of your practice

This unique and innovative course will help you meet that challenge. In a full day’s worth of training – presented over 6 easily accessible online one hour sessions and following the story of Henry a child in the middle of an unhappy separation - Dr Angharad Rudkin, will explore and explain some of the critical issues in child and parent well-being during divorce and provide ideas about how to manage them.

Angharad is a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years’ experience of working with children and their families. In each session she will be joined by guest family law practitioner, so you can be sure that the advice and guidance you gain will be firmly grounded in the realities of the issues that arise daily in such cases.

Alongside the six sessions you will also be able to discuss the issues raised with the course leaders and your fellow delegates in a dedicated private forum.
