About the seminar

The last three years have seen yet more amendments to the permitted changes of use regime. Further changes to the GPDO and evolving practice in the way planning authorities, the Planning Inspectorate, and the courts interpret the provisions make it imperative that planners, developers and their advisers keep on top of the impact of these changes on current and future projects.

So join us to mark the launch of the THIRD EDITION of A Practical Guide to Permitted Changes of Use, the definitive text on the subject, and get up to speed with all the latest changes.

The author, Martin Goodall of Keystone Law and Alistair Mills of Landmark Chambers and other members of the Keystone Law planning team will brief you on all the latest developments including:

  • Changes to the legislation since 2016 such as significant changes to Part 3 & 4 of the GPDO
  • Changes to guidance and developing practice covering, in particular, Part 3, Class Q permissible structural alterations on residential conversion of an agricultural building and continuing controversy as to scope of building operations permitted in the light of Hibbitt v SSCLG
  • Recent key case law on permitted changes of use

To round off the event, the panel will take part in a question and answers session, chaired by Brian Waters, giving you the chance to ask the experts your own questions.
